Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
It’s impossible to please the Lord without faith. It’s how I can have relationship with Him, who I cannot see or touch, but still I believe. How are we to have fellowship with Him if we cannot even have faith that He is God, and that He will fulfil his promises? We see them time and time again in the Bible.
In Hebrews 12:2 it says that Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith. He is the one who places faith in our hearts and teaches us how to live completely in that faith. But that doesn’t mean we just sit around and wait for that faith to rise up within us. It’s like a muscle that becomes strong by reading the bible and diving into his word. I must learn to operate by faith and not be shaken by the temporary afflictions of this world. I must get my feet wet, exercise that faith and wait on the Lord, for that will please him. “He is a rewarder for those who diligently seek Him.” He is able to pour out his blessings upon us when we seek him with all of our heart, when we have our eyes set upon him and nothing else.
Faith is such an important thing that I have learned throughout my walk with God. In order for me to have relationship with Him, I must have Faith in Him. Faith that His plan is better than my plan. Faith that when I don’t understand, he does. Therefore I will pray today, asking God for faith like a child, to believe in Him and His plan for my life.
